Just Visiting for A Day

If you have a few hours to spare before your next flight out of Singapore, it does not mean you cannot experience Singapore with that limited amount of time.

Below is a sample itinerary for a day and night stay in Singapore.

With only 24 hours in Singapore, focusing on a few key sights and experiences is best. Here's an itinerary that will give you a taste of what Singapore offers:

Morning:

  • Start your day at China Square's Yakun Coffee Shop.

  • Go to Chinatown and explore the neighborhood's colorful streets and historic shop houses. There are also murals you can take photos with.

  • Visit the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum, a Tang-style temple that houses a sacred tooth relic of the Buddha.

Afternoon:

  • Have lunch at Maxwell Food Centre. Maxwell Market's Tian Tian and Ah Tai chicken rice, the dish that makes Singapore famous, are good ways to familiarise with our local fare.

  • Take the Thomson East Coast MRT Line (TEL) to Gardens by The Bay.

  • Explore Marina Barrage, the dam that keep flood waters at bay during heavy storms while making Marina Bay a fresh water reservoir.

  • Take a stroll through the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest conservatories inside Gardens by the Bay, and marvel at the towering Supertrees.

  • Have early dinner at Gardens by the Bay (Supertrees or Satay by the Bay) or inside Marina Bay Sands.

  • Head to the Marina Bay Sands conservatory to watch the sun sets over the Singapore City Skyline.

Evening:

  • Return to the Gardens by the Bay Supertrees to watch the colourful Garden Rhapsody music show at 7.45pm.

  • Stroll to Marina Bay Sands Shoppe to watch the Spectra light show at 9pm.

  • Have supper at Satay Street (La Pa Sat Market).
