Where to Eat?
Singaporeans are spoilt for choice where you can eat your favourite food. Taking public transport to go to far flung areas of Singapore to eat good food is almost a national pastime (and queuing up to buy the food).
For the tourists, here are some hawker centers you can visit while in Singapore. Local favourites comes with *
Newton Circus
If you have watched "Crazy Rich Asians" you would have caught a glimpse of Newtown Circus Food center.
Location
Lau Pa Sat/Satay Street
Come here specifically for the Satay Street that gives you an idea how we used to eat our hawker food - pulling a chair at a table on the side of the road.
Location
Old Airport Road*
This is one of the locals' favourite hawker centre famous for the Char Kway Teow and Wanton Noodles.

Singaporean foodies love this hawker center with a lot of good food especially Outram Park Char Kway Teow!

If you are in Chinatown and famished the Chinatown Complex hawker center is one of the biggest in Singapore that has a lot of food to choose from.

Maxwell Market*
Maxwell market started as a market that supports the low income families and now becomes the place to have our Chicken rice.

A hawker center that is close to the CBD that housed a delicious peanut covered Ice Kacang dessert stall.
Amoy Street*
Amoy is also located inside the CBD where office workers have their full during lunch. This hawker center has the most michellin awarded hawkers.

This is the hawker center to go to after a brisk morning walk inside Botanical Gardens. Its Nasi Lemak is one of the best here.

If you are in transit and wanted some good local food, head to the Bedok Central hawker center which is a few station away from Changi Airport.

This is also another location near the airport if you want to visit the beach and have great food too. I love the Satay here over Satay Street.

Golden Mile*
Located next to Kampong Gelam/Haji Lane, have cheap dinner before going to Haji Lane for your drinks.

Tiong Bahru*
Located inside the first pre-war housing estate, this is the place to eat a lot of our local breakfast when walking around the hipster central Tiong Bahru enclave.
Location
Market Street
After climbing to the roof of CapitaSpring Tower to see sky perspective of Singapore, Market Street Hawker Center is just on the second and third floor in the adjacent building.
